Atwood +
Jan Atwood, LLC, and Andy Atwood, PC.
We are located in Clark Place at American Seating Park
This is the view you will have from the corner of 7th Street and Broadway, NW. The sign says "Clark Place - American Seating Park." This is a big, old, four story factory building that has been converted into mixed-use space. American Seating Corporate Offices are on the first floor. The second and third floors are occupied by various businesses. The 4th floor, where we are, has 22 apartments, and about a third of them are offices. We are in a "Luxury Apartment," so don't be surprised when you walk into a kitchen and living area. On the 4th floor, go left off the elevator, and we are the first door on your right. The sign by the door says, "Atwood +." Don't bother to knock; just come on in! Coffee and tea are always waiting for our guests. Also, don't forget that we share our office space. Jan has her Bodywork Practice here, and Andy has his counseling and consulting practice here, as well. We are both in and out a lot. It is a lovely location, and I'm sure you will enjoy it as much as we do.

Coming from the South
Drive up US 131 to Leonard Street, and exit on the right. Then, turn left and go West, back under the highway. Broadway is the first left after the Speedway station, after the Shade Shop. Go left, which is South, off Leonard. Drive South to our building.
Coming from the West
Drive up I-196 and get off at the Lane Avenue Exit. Turn left, which is North, and go back under the highway. Come to a Stop Sign, and continue straight North to a "T" at 4th Street. Turn right, which is East, on 4th and drive up to the light at Stocking. You will see the Copper Top Restaurant there, and some other businesses in old buildings. Go straight on 4th, past the Basilica, up past Seward, and go across one more block to Broadway. Turn left, and drive 200 yards to our building. (To go home, drive out our parking lot, turn right, and go South down Broadway to 4th Street by Union Square - the old Union High School, which is now apartments. Take 4th all the way West until you can easily re-enter the highway.)
Coming from the North
Drive down US 131, get off at Leonard Street, and then turn right on Leonard. Go one short block, and turn left on Broadway Avenue, just past the Shade Shop. Drive South to our building.
Coming from the East
Drive West on I-196 and take the Downtown - Ottawa Avenue exit. Come to a stop at Michigan Street, and then take a right and go West over the Grand River, under the highway. Then take a right on Broadway by the Lingerie Shop (Yes, you read that right!). Drive North up Broadway to our building.
The View from the Broadway Avenue Entrance.
The building is "L" shaped, and we are in the south wing, which is pictured here. There is a big parking lot in the middle of these wonderful old buildings. Parking is convenient and free. Park and walk south toward "Clark Place."
Our building during the spring.
The flowering trees are beautiful for a couple of weeks each spring. We are on the fourth floor. There's Andy's old motorcycle parked out front. Plenty of parking for you, too! The entrance is under the arch, about five windows in from the left, hidden behind the trees.
Once you are in through the front door, turn to the right, open the glass door, and you will enter into this elevator lobby.
You will see our mail boxes along the wall to the right. The elevator is behind the couch. Come up to the fourth floor. Once there, turn left off the elevator, and we are the first door on your right. The sign reads, "Atwood +".
Pictures can't do it justice.
Almost everyone who walks in says, "Wow! This is pretty cool." We share an 1,860 square foot loft apartment. We have modified it for our purposes into a kitchen, meeting room, two offices (each with a private work area), a file room, and a storage closet. The ceilings are 14 feet tall, the walls along the outside are brick and glass, the colors are warm and inviting. And... coffee and tea are always ready!
Jan's Office.
Yellow, and full of light and energy. Jan has her table set up in the middle of the room. A bookshelf, a few chairs, her desk, laptop, a bubbling fountain, some art, and Jan is always playing some music that is soothing to the soul.
Andy's Office.
It's pretty difficult to capture any room from one angle, but you can get an impression of the space from this photo. A leather chair, two side chairs, a desk, a work chair, a couple of bookshelves, some art work, and my Mac. Just outside this room, I have another room with a stand-up desk and shelves for a lot of files and books. Perfect. It is so comfortable to be here.
